to join our finance team in Membury, Hungerford.

The Opportunity
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll report directly to the Finance Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate posting of invoices across the Walker Logistics group, primarily focusing on Walker Logistics Limited. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who thrives on precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Setting up new suppliers within our Xero accounting system.
Opening and posting invoices accurately.
Daily running of regular aged payables listings for review with the Management Accountant.
Issuing remittances to suppliers once payments are made.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Querying invoices, predominantly related to courier and temporary labour.
Performing detailed invoice checks in the system to identify any erroneous postings.
Assisting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance with other duties as required.
