We are a busy legal conveyancing office looking for a full time Legal Cashier to work from our office in Morley, Leeds. The hours are 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
You will be responsible to ensure the day-to-day financial activities of the firm are carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with the Accounts Rules.
Main Responsibilities will include:
Verification and processing of client and office accounting transactions through case management systems and banking systems
Bank reconciliations
Entering supplier invoices
Processing receipts and payments (BACs, CHAPs, Cheque)
Processing client bills
Dealing with petty cash postings & reimbursements
Checking completion statements and assisting with balance queries.
Working with the Head of Finance and Administration to ensure best accounts practices are implemented and followed
Assisting in the compliance of CLC Accounts Rules
Dealing with enquiries from colleagues and banks.
VAT administration and returns
Management of the firm's suppliers
Assisting the firms external Accountants
The successful individual must have at least 3 years' experience of working as a Legal Cashier in a law firm and have a keen attention to detail. The candidate must also be confident in using a case management system and also have excellent communication skills.
