Accounts Assistant
Job Description
Grafton Banks Finance are working with a well-respected commercial business with offices on the outskirts of Lewes, East Sussex to recruit a Part Time Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director and working in a small friendly team you will be responsible for supporting with the company's day to day accounting and finances. You will have an excellent understanding of accounting fundamentals, has some VAT experience, and enjoys analysing figures and wants to develop their understanding and skills to help create a process-driven and efficient department. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, professional and well organised and should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Sales & Purchase ledger entry and reconciliation of supplier statements
- Paying and liaising with suppliers
- Bank account entry and reconciliation
- Credit card, Cash and Staff expense entry
- Journal entries
- General accounts administration
- Purchase Orders
- Credit control and debt management
