We are seeking a organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts and financial records. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in accounting and finance within a supportive environment.
Duties
Sales ledger invoicing
Credit control
Posting supplier invoices and monthly reconciliation of the statements
Dealing with customer and supplier queries
Nominal ledger postings
Processing payment runs to suppliers
Other adhoc accounts duties as required
Assisting with year-end reconciliations
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry
Liaise with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or queries
Accounts mailbox monitoring
Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Experience
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is desirable.
Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
AAT qualifications would be desirable however full training will be given
Additional Information
Due to the office's remote location with no public transport access, candidates should have a reliable means of commuting to and from the office daily.
