We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. This position involves managing accounts payable, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records using various accounting software.
Duties
Assist in the management of accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Credit control and management of customer overdues
Control of foreign currency transactions including booking currency on fixed term contracts
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all transactions.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies.
Assist with general administrative tasks related to the finance department as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
