Job Summary


We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Maidstone.

You will join a small, dedicated team overseeing the UK accounts as part of a wider international group of companies. From processing invoices and posting payments to reconciling statements and keeping records in order, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the day-to-day duties of the accounts team.

This role would suit someone early in their finance career or looking to build on existing bookkeeping or accounts experience.

You'll be supported by our head of accounts, learning how global finance operations work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Assist with both purchase and sales ledger duties, including invoice processing and reconciliations Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Support month-end and year-end reporting activities Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance Handle supplier and customer queries promptly and professionally Assist with expense claims, and credit card reconciliations Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks

Experience



Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred. Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,000.00-28,000.00 per year
