remote

The finance team is looking for someone to join the team who can support on a wide variety of tasks. This role is not limited, if you are looking to continue to grow, develop and learn then those opportunities will be there in abundance.

What You'll Be Doing

The following should give you an idea of how you will be spending your time. It is not set in stone and it may change from week-to-week, but it gives an idea of what is expected from the role:
Each month you will be involved in :
Sales Ledger
Raise sales invoices to clients and handle queries
Credit control responsibilities
Set up new clients including background checks
Debtors reporting
Purchase Ledger
Post supplier invoices
Prepare supplier payment runs
Credit card back up documentation reconciliation
Expense processing and payment in line with agreed policy
Post accruals and prepayments as required
Other duties
Bank reconciliations
Ad hoc reporting

Knowledge and Experience
Previous finance experience in a similar role
Good experience with MS Excel
Inquisitive, looking for the anomalies and nuances
Excellent communication skills
Organisation skills and able to work autonomous as well as a team
Comfortable multi-tasking
A good analytical mind who is keen to get into the detail and look at trends and variances
Previous experience of online accounting software preferred (e.g. Xero, Sage)
Preferred qualification AAT
Experience in a service business is strongly preferred but not required
