We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities
Manage Accounts inbox queries.
Assist with bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
Process accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
Help prepare financial reports and summaries.
Handle data entry and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Respond to vendor and client enquiries regarding invoices and payments.
Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Assist with expense reporting and reimbursement processing using tools like OpenAir.
Perform administrative tasks as required by the Accounting team.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with local tax regulations.
Ensure proper VAT treatment on domestic and international invoices.
Qualification required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
Accounts qualifications not necessary, but it would be a benefit if you have started AAT, or have an interest in studying.
Experience and skills
Basic knowledge of Accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting software.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Position, compensation and benefits
Full-time permanent position.
Based at the EPI-USE Labs office in Manchester.
Hybrid working (working from home and at the office).
The role will include minimal travel.
