We are seeking a, proactive, motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop and build their career in finance and gain valuable experience within a growing SME.
Key Responsibilities
Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and expense claims
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
Bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and making payments
Maintaining accurate financial records
Sending payroll information to external provider
Submitting VAT returns
Liaising with suppliers and internal teams regarding payments and queries
Credit control and resolving client queries
Weekly reporting on turnover, WIP, and sales pipeline
Ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties
Skills and Experience
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
Experienced in accounts administration
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required) and Xero accounting software (preferred)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive, eager to learn, and ambitious
AAT Level 4 or actively studying AAT, study support can be offered
