Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger process, assisting with Credit Control, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Your expertise in accounting software will be essential in optimising cash flow.

Responsibilities

Process of invoices and credit. Produce the weekly payment run. Liaise with suppliers to resolve payment discrepancies. Reconciling statements, and queries in a timely manner. Processing cash on deliveries. Maintain accurate records of all communications with suppliers regarding invoices. Collaborate with the finance team to report on cash flow forecasts and aged debt analysis. Utilise accounting software for effective account management. Provide support to other members of the accounts team and assist in their professional development.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable management. Proficiency in accounting software. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with suppliers. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and record keeping. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
