About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Accounts Assistant
on a part time basis to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting and finance within a supportive and professional environment. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all accounting processes are completed efficiently and in line with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with administration centres and branch locations to resolve queries and gather missing information
Process internal cheque requisitions and cashbook entries, including payments and returned transactions
Assist the Management Accountant with monthly reconciliations and reporting
Reconcile company bank accounts on a monthly basis
Support month-end processes and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain accurate filing and posting of financial documents
Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Provide administrative support to the Accountant and Financial Controller as needed
Uphold company standards and act as a positive ambassador at all times
Participate in relevant training and development opportunities
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is desirable
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
