Part-Time Accounts Assistant

to join our busy motorcycle dealership!

About the Role:

As an

Accounts Assistant

, you will support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations within the dealership. This role offers flexible hours to fit around your schedule while providing a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with

sales and purchase ledger

processing

Bank reconciliations

and payment allocations to various control accounts but not limited to: Current bank accounts, PayPal, Stripe, eBay, Credit cards, Cash accounts Managing

invoice processing and supplier payments

Supporting

credit control

and debt chasing Supporting the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records in a timely manner. Assisting with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required. Assisting with

VAT returns and month-end processes

What We're Looking For:

Experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role

(motor trade experience is a plus but not essential)

Proficiency in accounting software

(Sage, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Minimum of 1 year's bookkeeping experience in a similar role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities A
