Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and maintaining financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software, making it essential for the successful management of accounts payable and related tasks.

Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk

Looking for a part time assistant to work 10-15 hours a week, based in Hemel Hempstead

Responsibilities will include

Processing and inputting supplier invoices Matching, batching and coding of approved invoices Paying suppliers accurately and promptly within the service level agreement Supplier statement reconciliations Bank & Credit Card reconciliations Preparing twice weekly BACS payment runs Prepare and process journals Help with production of month end and year end management accounts Compiling for checks the quarterly VAT returns and related submissions Drafting the annual budget/quarterly forecast process Understanding of Profit and loss, income and expense reports, cash flow projection, trial balance and balance sheet in order to help with compiling reports and spotting issues. Supporting FC with audit queries and internal auditing processes.
Systems requirements

AAT Level 2-3, Fluent in all excel work, systems knowledge of SAGE essential, Brightpearl experience would be helpful

Minimum 3 years experience in an accounts environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
