We are a completely independent Network for Mortgage and Protection brokers with over 850 members across the UK. As our Network continues to grow, we are expanding our Accounts department and are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join us.
While this role is hybrid, the successful candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull, as they will need to work from the office at least one day per week.

Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
Bank Reconciliation
Process BACS run payments
Processing of Staff Expenses
Answering telephone calls and responding to accounts queries
Sales ledger control
Purchase ledger control
Credit control
Adhoc tasks set by your line manager

Requirements of an Accounts Assistant
At least 1 year of experience in a similar Accounts role
Proficient in using Xero accounting software or a similar software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to analyse information and make sound decisions
Highly organised with effective time-management skills
Self-motivated and proactive
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Salary of an Accounts Assistant
26,000 - 28,000 dependant on experience for our higher salary banding you must possess all the required qualifications/experience as stated above.

Working Pattern of an Accounts Assistant
Monday - Friday
9am - 5pm
The successful candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull, as they will need to work from the office at least one day per week.
Please note: during your initial training period, you may be required to work from Head Office more than the once a week provision.
