Roles and responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries.
Sales Ledger:
Allocate and reconcile customer receipts.
Banking & Cashbook:
Maintain and reconcile daily bank transactions, process receipts, payments, and transfers and support month end reconciliation.
Payroll (Sage 50):
Administer weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 40 employees maintain payroll accuracy and confidentiality (training provided).
Dealer Management System (DMS):
We use a DMS to manage and reconcile financial data across departments training will be provided.
Credit Cards:
Manage and reconcile receipts and credit card transactions, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Financial PA Duties:
Support the Managing Director with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.
Person Specification
Experience in a finance, accounts, or payroll related role, with a willingness to continue learning and developing.
Ideally familiar with Sage 50 Payroll and or a Dealer Management System (DMS) although not essential, as full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and excellent organisational skills.
Self motivated, able to manage workload independently and confident communicating across departments.
Experience:
Experience in a finance, accounts, or payroll focused role
Exposure to Sage 50 Payroll and or a Dealer Management System (DMS) is advantageous
Experience with purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general bookkeeping tasks
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office 365 in a professional setting
Working Hours:
4 days per week, 8 hours per day. Specific days are flexible and open to discussion.
