The DMC Group was formed in 2016 as a platform of complementary, market leading, needlecraft brands. The company owns and operates five iconic needlecrafts brands: DMC (global leader in embroidery threads with a 275-year heritage, the undisputed reference brand); Wool And The Gang (digital-first and contemporary knitting kits); Sirdar (over 125 year British heritage in knitting yarns); Rowan (iconic British premium brand) and Anchor (the most recent acquisition). Products include thread, yarn, kits, patterns, accessories, and publications. The Group also owns Tilsatec, a manufacturer of cut resistant technical yarns and protective gloves/sleeves bringing highly innovative technology to the PPE market.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join our busy UK Finance department. With a varied set of responsibilities, this role really supports the total UK business ensuring payments are made, cash is received and processed, and reconciliations take place in a timely manner enabling smooth and efficient business operations. This is the perfect next step for someone wanting to continue gaining a thorough grounding in an operational finance role.

THE HOUSEKEEPING BITS



Based in Wakefield, reporting to the UK Finance Manager, this role works within a small team that prides itself on delivering error free, efficient finance processing and ultimately business advice. Consistently demonstrating a clear understanding of basic accounting and why and how ledgers are maintained, this role supports the team in delivering accurate and timely financial records.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?



We're looking for a pro-active financial professional with experience in processing payments, reconciling bank, gathering necessary VAT data and posting journals. You will be proficient in financial systems and in working collaboratively with colleagues across all departments as well as able to contribute by providing solutions to resolve a problem or issue.

You will bring to the business your attention to detail, organisational skills and AAT qualification (preferred).

In addition,

you are:



An experienced finance assistant with good excel skills Passionate about providing high quality service to all stakeholders Experienced in taking ownership for daily, weekly and monthly tasks Desire to maintain and deliver high quality reliable data
