Framlingham Town Council is looking for a part time (15 hours per week) accounts assistant to manage the Council accounts. This includes:
Process invoices from suppliers, organise payments, issue invoices to our market traders, pavilion hirers, allotment holders and others
Manage the bank account
Maintain the asset register
Work with the Town Clerk in the management of the budget
Provide information to the Town Clerk/RFO as requested for meetings.
Knowledge of the Scribe software would be preferred however training will be given to the right person who has good experience of using other accounting software. Local government experience would be useful. There will the opportunity to develop the position into the Responsible Finance Officer.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
