Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive part-time Accounts Assistant/Administrator to work along side our Finance Manager. This part-time position is for 2-3 days per week. The days required are Monday and Friday plus 1 other day during the week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager and other company employees with day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting software (Sage 50), ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Duties



Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices for accounts payable. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise. Raise invoices to send to suppliers. Process expenses. Utilise accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks to manage financial data efficiently. Assist with monthly payroll ensuring data from timesheets is accuractly input to excel before submission to accountants. Booking hotels and travel arrangements. Using LinkedIn to post regular updates. Provide other administrative support to the company as required.

Requirements



Previous experience in an accounts or similar role is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
