We are looking to recruit an Accounts & Billing Assistant to join our expanding Finance Team. The role will involve the delivery of high-quality support to the Financial Controller, Management Board and wider finance team and to provide important management information and analysis to a broad range of users throughout the firm including:
Checking all billing instructions received are fully compliant
Generating client invoices, ensuring prompt delivery and applying payment solutions
Monitoring receipted invoices and liaising with credit control on outstanding amounts
Creating reports and billing related data to enable prompt decision making at management level
Providing fee earners key data to understand and manage their client relationships
Recording supplier invoices on to the purchase ledger
Reconciling control accounts
Production of reports for inclusion in the monthly management accounts
Ensuring accounting processes are fulfilled to enable prompt decision making at management level
Key duties will include:
Transaction processing
Daily invoice generation and submission to clients
Regular contact with fee earners and credit control
Analysis of billing by fee earner and department
Ad hoc assistance to department supervisors and managers
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be highly organised and motivated with a keenness to learn. They should have experience of working with Excel and have basic accounting knowledge. Applicants should be comfortable dealing with a diverse and busy workload. Excellent computer skills and attention to detail are essential. They will have a methodical and logical approach to work with strong verbal and written communication skills, as the position will involve a high level of teamwork and dealing with intermediaries.
