The Role:

We are seeking an Office Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Process supplier invoices with accuracy and proper authorisation Prepare and execute payments via cheques and bank transfers Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and handle payment inquiries
Accounts Receivable:

Generate and issue invoices to customers Track outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts Process incoming payments and update records Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
General Accounting Support:

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Collaborate with the finance team on day-to-day operations Utilise accounting software such as Xero

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is essential Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational and time management abilities Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Proficiency in IT, especially Excel and accounting software such as Xero A proactive attitude and willingness to support a busy finance team

Remuneration

Job Type:

Full-time

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:15 pm

Salary:

Competitive, dependent on experience.

25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), on-site parking, pension scheme.
