Job Description

Air Handling Systems Ltd, based in Shildon, County Durham, have a full-time position for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team. This is a busy hands-on role where you will take ownership of accounts payable and contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Reporting to :

Managing Director & Finance Director

Key Duties & Responsibilities



Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and credits Reconciling purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices Reconciling monthly supplier statements alongside chasing overdue statements and invoices to support month end close procedures Identifying and resolving accounts queries Liaising with internal management teams as well as external suppliers Filing duties General administration duties as required including daily inward / outward mail

Person Specification



Previous experience in finance or accounts (minimum 1 years' experience essential)

Knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software and Microsoft Office is essential

Experience of working on large ledgers and able to process multiple invoices per week

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and work to tight deadlines

Monday - Wednesday : 08.00 - 18.30

Thursday : 08.00 - 17.30
