Job Summary

Vaculug Ltd is looking for a hardworking individual to join their team as an apprentice. You will have the benefit of training and gaining an AAT qualification and level 2 Accounts or Finance apprenticeship qualification, alongside work experience. As part of your role you will be supporting credit control, invoicing and purchase ledger.

Responsibilities

Investigating overdue invoices. Supporting with aged debt reports. Credit control inbox queries - copy invoices and VMS backing details to be sent to customer. Investigation with debit balances. Assisting with the reconciliation of intercompany accounts. Expenses - reviewing receipts and claims & ensuring compliance with policy. Data entry into accounting systems / matching purchase orders with invoices. VMS invoice errors - invoices that require manual processing. Assisting with new customer account forms. Assisting with credit insurance and credit limit review. Preparing accruals or journals (under supervision). Running standard reports for finance managers. Running trial balances. Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations. Cash book reconciliation assistance.

Qualifications

Essential: GCSE English and Maths at 4/C or above.

Skills

Professional approach to work and attitude. IT skills. Prioritisation and timekeeping skills. Attention to detail. Teamworking skills.

Your training plan

Training will be 6 hours per week. During term time, training will be held on Thursdays at Grantham College, Stonebridge Road, NG31 9AP. Outside of term time, you will train either at Cathodic Ltd or by working independently on tutor-set assignments. Depending on your age and GCSE (or equivalent qualifications) results, you may be required to achieve Functional Skills alongside the apprenticeship training. This would take place at Grantham College on the same day as the apprenticeship training. Additional workplace training includes exposure to all other aspects of the organisation to provide a complete business overview.

Information about pay and hours

Aged 16 to 18: 7.55 per hour.

Aged 19 or over and in your first year: 7.55 per hour.

Aged 19 or over and have completed your first year: National Minimum Wage for your age.

Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
