Sackville-West Moving & Storing are a Transport and Removals Company based in Andover. We have a fleet of 12 vehicles, and we cover the south of England and the Midlands.
We carry out small removals and also collect and deliver items from Auction Houses all over London and the South. We also have daily delivery contracts and in addition to this we have 3 Warehouses in Andover from which we operate the business from.
About the role:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts & Finance Assistant which is a new and varied role at our busy office in Andover. The candidate will be taking over Accounts & Finance responsibilities from our Office Manager as our headcount has grown from 10 to 30 since they began employment with us.
Key responsibilities include:
Daily reconciling of our bank accounts and Xero system
Monitoring of invoices and keeping track of aged debtors
Uploading and processing of supplier invoices
Daily management of expenses
Daily cash flow management
Producing daily and weekly figures for difference workstreams
Producing of bespoke dashboards and reports for each workstream
Ensuring that payroll details are relayed accurately to our accountant
Processing of employee pay and PAYE
Monitoring and making a provision for VAT payments plus paying quarterly VAT
Recording and providing figures to support our insurance process
Working with the owner/director on cost saving analysis
Assisting our storage team with invoicing and billing
Personal requirements:
Some Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting is required
Experience with Xero Accounting Software
Previous experience in a similar role, especially in producing reports
An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions
An effective communicator
