We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fostering strong relationships. This role requires proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. The Account Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial needs and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all account-related inquiries.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Prepare and present financial reports, including accounts payable summaries and budget forecasts.
Utilise accounting software (Sage) to manage client transactions and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues promptly and effectively.
Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth or improvement.
Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and gather feedback for service enhancement.
Facilitate day to day finance function of the business
Credit Control
Manage purchase ledger and pay debtors
HMRC Statutory Returns, ie PAYE, CIS, VAT
Management reporting and job cost analysis
Prepare all financial information and liaise with accountant in relation to statutory annual accounts
Cashflow Management
Bank Reconciliations
Requirements
Proven experience in account management or a similar role within a financial or accounting environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
Motivated, strong and experienced finance professional
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Highly organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
Experience of working in the Construction Industry and operating CIS
Experience of Sage 50
Hours & Benefits
Approx 21 hours per week, flexible over 3-4 days to be agreed to meet business needs
