The Croydon branch is a brand-new store, which since its grand opening in December 2024, has strongly represented the brand to the people of Croydon. Located in the heart of Croydon on Dingwall Road, this branch enjoys a prime city-centre location and strong footfall from dessert enthusiasts, families and visitors.
To oversee and manage all financial operations of the Heavenly Desserts Croydon branch, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll administration, budgeting, cost control and compliance with statutory accounting and regulatory requirements. The Financial Accounts Manager will be pivotal in supporting growth, profitability and operational sustainability.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, management accounts and performance reports.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping including invoices, purchase orders, expenses and supplier records.
Process payroll, staff hours, holiday pay and statutory deductions.
Manage VAT returns, HMRC submissions and ensure ongoing compliance with UK accounting regulations.
Monitor daily sales across dine-in, takeaway and delivery channels; reconcile banking and payments.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including cost of goods sold (COGS) and labour cost monitoring.
Conduct bank reconciliations, cashflow monitoring and maintain internal financial controls.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers and management regarding financial matters.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, provide insights and support senior decision-making.
Maintain financial systems, documentation and audit-ready records.
Skills
Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour
Ability to analyse financial data critically and provide strategic insights
Proficiency in using various accounting tools and software to streamline workflows
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in financial accounting, management accounting or a related role,
