Due to our ongoing growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Head Office team at Whitburn.
The Role
To support the Accounts Team in contributing to an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable Function to meet key business objectives.
Main Purpose of the job
Responsible for the preparation of both weekly and monthly payroll, including answering payroll queries as they arise
Ensure all invoices received are properly authorised, coded, and posted accurately through accounts in a timely manner
Investigation and resolution of supplier queries
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Process Staff Expenses
Process Petty Cash Receipts
Uploading purchase invoice imports into Sage
Liaise with other departments to resolve issues with invoices
Handle stationary orders
Further development with experience of glass and panels
Adhoc tasks to support the business will be required
Essential Skills & Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
A collaborative and team-oriented work ethic
Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of tasks
Ability to effectively prioritise, prepare, and plan workload
