This permanent Accounts Payable Controller role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys working in Accounting & Finance. You will oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures whilst assisting the senior finance team with additional ad hoc duties.
The Accounts Payable Controller's responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing and payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts payable activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly accounts payable reports and assist with audits.
• Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc tasks.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
• Assist with the completion of all required returns for the Office of National Statistics.

A successful Accounts Payable Controller should have:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable role.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and team members.
• Ability to spot and rectify mistakes throughout the process.
• A collaborative attitude and problem-solving mindset.
