Accounts Payable Manager - Burton, Staffordshire

Salary: Up to \xc2\xa340,000 per annum

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Working (2-3 Days in Office per week)

Reporting to the CFO, will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing a high-performing team, driving process improvements, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable activities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance teams, to optimise the accounts payable process and drive efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on accounts payable performance, highlighting any areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and contribute to the implementation of new tools or systems.
  • Monitor cash flow and cash forecasting related to accounts payable activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve excellent results.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
