We are a high-growth and ambitious PE-backed accountancy group. Having secured investment in late 2023, we have significantly increased our revenue targets and are accelerating our plans year on year.

To support the next phase of expansion, we are making strategic investment in our internal finance function -- creating an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager, a chance to help build, shape and lead a function at a pivotal stage of growth.

Working directly with the Financial Controller

,

the Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable function, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, timely payments, and effective management of supplier relationships. This role involves leading a team, optimizing processes and collaborating with both vendors and internal teams to support the organisations requirements.

Brief



Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, including hiring, training and development. Ensure all supplier invoices are correctly authorised, coded, and posted in line with company procedures Manage payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and manage cashflow effectively. Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies promptly and maintain aged creditor reports. Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy and internal controls. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation and cost savings using AP software. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements for the role



Proven experience managing an accounts payable function Experience leading or supervising a finance team Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and controls Strong organisational and time-management skills Confident communicator with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders Experience using accounting systems and strong excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, to a high level of accuracy.
