As our Accounts & Payroll Executive, you'll sit at the heart of our Finance team - processing payroll, supporting our staff benefits, managing key financial processes and helping us maintain strong financial controls across the Club.
You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance and People & Culture, ensuring our staff are paid correctly and on time, invoices are managed efficiently, and our financial records remain in great shape.
It's a varied role where your attention to detail, professionalism and problem-solving skills will help keep the Club running smoothly.
Duties
Preparation of monthly payroll reporting and payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting
Handle confidential payroll and personnel information in line with GDPR and internal policies
Administer pension schemes for staff and players, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment and regulatory requirements
Manage staff healthcare and medical insurance schemes
Working alongside the People & Culture team to develop payroll processes and integration between systems
Process supplier invoices and purchase orders
Prepare supplier payment runs and ensure accurate, timely payments
Periodic reviews of creditor balances to manage cash flows
Raise sales invoices and chasing of debtors to ensure debt levels are minimized
Prompt resolution of supplier and customer queries
Maintain the financial management system and ledger with accurate coding and documentation
Intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation
Assist with month end processes, including the processing of some journals
Support the Finance Manager with producing year-end group statutory accounts
Assist annual audit processes for Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC), Warwickshire Cricket Foundation (WCF) and Birmingham Phoenix (BP)
Provide finance support on match days and adopt a flexible approach to meet operational needs

Experience
Experience in payroll processing and payroll administration
Experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
Education in finance/accounting (desirable)* Experience in a similar finance role desirable
Experience using payroll software (e.g., Sage, IRIS, Xero, BrightPay) (desirable)*
Skills
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Good time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in accounting software and financial systems
Strong Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office
Ability to manage confidential information discreetly
