About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Accounts Portfolio Manager / Senior Accounts Manager

to join our dynamic, family friendly practice. This is a pivotal role, responsible for managing and undertaking work for a portfolio of established clients. On a day-to-day basis this includes ; accounts and bookkeeping work, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of clients, managing deadlines and with the partner / director providing support to each client as needed. Oversee preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory financial statements. Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring professional development and high performance. Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients. Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and relevant legislation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Support business development activities, including client onboarding and proposal preparation.

Requirements:

QBE / ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent). Proven experience in a similar role within practice or industry. Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
