Trueman Bailey Law is a growing law firm known for delivering high-quality legal services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts professional to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in legal accounts or a strong accounting background who is keen to work in the legal sector.
Key Responsibilities
Managing daily financial transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
Processing client and office account payments, receipts, and transfers
Managing purchase ledger and handling supplier payments
Reconciling bank accounts and monitoring cash flow
Producing financial reports for management
Ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Supporting fee earners with account queries
Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
About You
Experience in a law firm accounts department orstrong general accounts experience with willingness to learn legal accounting
Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules (preferred but training available)
Experience of working with Xero is essential
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of accuracy
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
