We are a local charity-based organisation that provides care, support, and housing to individuals with learning disabilities across Surrey. We operate from seven services, this role is primarily based from Hindhead, our Head Office site.
Salary: 31,000 FTE (pro rata for 22.5 hours)
Main duties & Responsibilities
Working as part of a small finance team, this important and exciting role is to ensure the swift and accurate invoicing and collection of income for the organisation.
Sales Ledger invoicing
Raise invoices for residential fees, rent, care & support and other receivables
Set up customer accounts on Sage 50 for new clients.
Issue monthly re-charge invoices to clients in line with agreed timetable.
Communicate annual fee rises and rent increases with relevant stakeholders.
Liaise with operations regarding invoicing for changes in client contracts to ensure invoicing is accurate
Credit Control
Provide rent statements to tenants on a monthly basis
Work with the housing team to ensure rent and service charges are paid promptly
Resolve queries with Local Authorities regarding fees
Chase payment of invoices to improve cashflow
Financial Controls
Reconcile debtors on a monthly basis
Cover for other members of the Finance Team during periods of absence, Including bank reconciliations and purchase ledger
Perform any other task that could be reasonably expected by the role.
Person Specification
A minimum of 2 years Sales ledger experience
Confident user of Excel including subtotalling and sorting data
Good Microsoft Office skills
Experience of Sage 50 accounts preferred
Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills with the ability to stick to a timetable and prioritise and plan a busy workload
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with process driven, methodical approach to work
Willing to take on any finance task and support the wider activities of the organisation.
Good Communication skills, both written and verbal.
