The Role: Accounts Semi-Senior
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will play a vital part in supporting our busy and friendly team. You'll take ownership of accounts preparation from start to finish, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Your work will be ready for review by a Senior or Manager and will directly support the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies from both manual and computerised records
Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare accurate corporation tax and income tax computations
Liaise with clients professionally - in person, by phone, and via email
Support team members with on-site or in-office projects
Use accounting systems such as Sage and CCH
Attend internal accounts meetings and contribute to ongoing client service excellence
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a professional accountancy practice
AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA
Strong IT and Excel skills
Familiarity with CCH is beneficial
A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail
Confident communication skills and a team-focused mindset
