A long-established regional practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its Gorleston office. This position is ideal for a qualified, or close-to-qualified, accountant who enjoys a mix of compliance work, client interaction and supporting the development of junior team members. The role offers exposure to company accounts, sole trader and partnership accounts, tax compliance, audits and wider advisory work in a supportive and professional environment.
Role Responsibilities
Manage a varied client portfolio and build strong working relationships.
Prepare and review financial statements for companies, sole traders and partnerships.
Complete tax computations and tax returns.
Support audit assignments where required.
Prepare VAT and CIS returns.
Provide timely and accurate financial insights to clients.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
Assist in coaching and mentoring junior team members.
Personal Requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified, or an exam-level finalist.
Strong IT skills; experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero) and practice software (e.g. IRIS) is beneficial.
Confident in managing client relationships.
Able to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach.
