Based in our Hungerford office, you will be part of a small friendly team. Duties as senior accountant to include support and mentor of our junior team members as well as working closely with the senior partners. You must demonstrate a proactive approach to business development and identifying client opportunities. This role has scope to expand for an all-round senior position in a small practice.
Duties
Preparing a variety of client's management and year end accounts for sole trade, partnership and Limited companies.
Reviewing VAT Returns, Management accounts and Year end accounts prepared by junior team members.
Preparing Personal tax returns.
Preparing Corporation tax returns.
Preparing correspondence to accompany Accounts and Tax returns for client approval.
Assisting junior members of the team with queries and in house training.
Develop strong client relationships to ensure good levels of client care and managing deadlines.
Skills
Minimum of 2 years' accountancy practice experience in a similar role.
Pro-active, client centric professional.
Ability to manage deadlines and work flow.
Highly organised, strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Iris and Xero software advantageous but not essential.
Qualified/QBE applicants welcome but must be from a practice background.

Standard hours Monday to Friday 9-5 with 1-hour lunch (35-hour week).
Salary range 40,000 - 55,000 per annum.
Immediate start available.
