We are a well-established, two-partner accountancy practice based in Leigh-on-Sea. Our firm supports a diverse portfolio of small businesses with tailored financial services. The Role

This is a hands-on, client-facing position ideal for a well-rounded accountant with public practice experience. You'll be a key contributor to the day-to-day operations, supporting everything from year-end accounts to VAT and payroll, while working closely with both partners. The role requires someone who's proactive, flexible, and capable of managing a broad set of responsibilities across different areas of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients

General accounts preparation and tax computations

Liaise directly with clients

Bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT tasks

Contribute across the firm as needed

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Qualified (or QBE) with strong public practice experience

Adaptable and comfortable with varied tasks

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Confident communicating with clients

Beneficial:

Experience using accounts production and bookkeeping software
