Accounts Senior

Main Duties



The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:

Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services Responsible for developing and training junior team members. Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on client's behalf Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns Undertaking independent examinations for applicable clients Preparing charity accounts in line with the Charities SORP and relevant regulations Preparing Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) client money reports Assisting with estate agency audits and regulatory reporting requirements Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements General admin duties to provide support to the Partners, Directors, Managers and the office

Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications



We're looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys working in a team-focused environment. Ideally, you'll bring the following:

Experience working as an

Accounts Technician, Senior or Semi-Senior in practice

Minimum

AAT qualified

(Association of Accounting Technicians) or qualified by experiance Strong background in accounts preparation for limited companies and unincorporated businesses Audit experience is desirable but not essential Outgoing, approachable, and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues Organised, resilient, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines Professional, discreet, and a team player with a positive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (and comfortable learning new software quickly) Ability to present information clearly and concisely in emails and reports

Terms / Benefits



Up to 36.25 hours / 5 days per week (part time, flexible and hybrid working is available). 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after 3 years' service.
