Accounts Technician (Part-Time)



Are you an organised, detail?focused accounts professional looking for a flexible part?time role? We are seeking an

Accounts Technician

to support our busy accounts department and work closely with our Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who enjoys a varied workload and working as part of a small, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities



General Accounts Support



Assist the Accounts Manager with day?to?day finance tasks Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Provide general administrative support to the accounts department

Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable)



Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly Match delivery dockets with invoices and purchase orders Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams Assist with preparing supplier payments Maintain supplier accounts and handle queries

Sales Ledger (Accounts Receivable)



Prepare and issue sales invoices using delivery dockets and agreed pricing Ensure invoices are accurate and sent on time Allocate customer payments Take customer payments over the phone and deal with customer queries Support credit control by monitoring outstanding balances and following up overdue accounts

Month-End Support



Assist with month?end routines Complete bank and account reconciliations Prepare information for management accounts

Person Specification



Essential Experience & Knowledge



Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role Strong attention to detail and high accuracy Experience processing invoices and matching delivery dockets Basic knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Skills & Attributes



Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information Strong communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Working Hours



Monday to Friday 20-25 hours per week Daily hours between

8:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm
