We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the organisation's financial operations by managing data entry, processing accounts payable, and assisting with various accounting functions. Responsibilities
Accurately input and maintain financial data using various accounting software including Sage
Assist with accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments.
Support the accounts receivable functions by processing customer transactions and maintaining accurate records.
Perform regular data entry tasks related to financial transactions and account reconciliations.
Help prepare financial reports and summaries as required by the finance team.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with organisational policies.
Maintain organised records of all financial documents in accordance with company standards.
Assist in month-end closing activities and audit preparations when necessary.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms.
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with accounts payable processes and financial record management.
Familiarity with financial services industry practices is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to liaise confidently across teams.
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and procedures within a fast-paced environment.
