Summary
Due to recent expansions we are looking to welcome an experienced Accounts and Payroll Assistant to our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate payroll processing and supporting our clients' human resources functions. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining our company's reputation for excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:-
Process payroll accurately and timely using BrightPay for multiple clients and employee types.
Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
Assist with accounts payable tasks related to payroll.
Support HR functions, including data entry and record keeping.
Preparing payroll reports and managing RTI submissions.
Handling pension submissions and liaising with HMRC as required.
Collaborate with team members to improve payroll procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Generate reports and analyse payroll data as needed.
Maintain accurate financial records using Quickbooks and Xero.
Bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
Qualifications:-
Proven experience with BrightPay, Quickbooks and Xero is essential.
Previous experience in payroll.
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
Knowledge of human resources processes is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret payroll data.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Prior experience in an accountancy or finance environment is advantageous.
