Sherwood Engines Ltd, based in Littleport, is a successful family run business within the classic car automotive industry. The business continues to grow and has a reputation for quality throughout the world in this niche market. This is a small but well-established team who work in a busy, fast paced environment.
About the Role:
Sherwood Engines are looking for an experienced person to take on this busy and varied accounts role. You need to be motivated and able to multitask. The role would also suit someone who has previous experience working within the automotive industry, though not essential.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Raising purchase and sales orders.
Checking, coding and updating purchase invoices when received.
Reconcile supplier statements.
Raising sales invoices to customers and ensuring they are paid on time.
Liaising with the directors and providing accounts payables/receivables reports.
Match bank transactions to sales and purchase invoices.
Bank reconciliations.
VAT returns.
Preparing cashflow forecasts and managing cashflow.
Correcting any errors on Xero.
. Weekly and monthly payroll preparation

Qualifications/Skills:
Accounting qualification and/or a minimum of three years' experience (Essential).
Xero Accounts up to trial balance level (Essential).
Inventory systems (Advantageous but not essential).
Previous payroll experience (Essential).
. Basic HR knowledge (Essential)
High levels of numeracy and accuracy (Essential).
The ability to muti task and prioritise workload (Essential).
Excellent organisational skills and time management (Essential).
Good computer skills (Essential).
Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Google (Essential).
. Knowledge of Bright HR or similar (Advantageous)
The role is part time (minimum of 23 hours). Monday to Thursday 9am - 2pm, Friday 9am to 12pm, though this may vary. Flexibility is essential to cover busy periods.
We are offering a competitive hourly rate to the right candidate, 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Free onsite parking, casual dress (part uniform provided) and no weekends are also being offered.
