Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Duties



Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication administration, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies. Organise the pharmacy workspace to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills



Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication with patients. Proficient knowledge of pharmacy technician duties, including medication preparation and dispensing processes. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety practices. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Requirements



To be considered for the ACT role at Lakes Pharmacy, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

Must hold a NVQ3 Pharmacy Techician Qualification (or equivalent as per GPhC requirements) Registered Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Experience in a pharmacy setting with a proven track record in accuracy checking. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.00-19.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 10/08/2025
