As part of our expanding team, we are seeking a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing and checking of medications. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the safe supply of medication and helping to support delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Supporting dispensary workflow and assist pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and checking of prescription medications in accordance with SOPs. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Liaising with pharmacists, dispensers, and healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in stock management. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification GPhC registration as a pharmacy technician Previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting Strong understanding of pharmacy legislation and best practices Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
