As an Accredited Checking Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and safety of all pharmaceutical products dispensed by the pharmacy. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care. Your role will involve verifying prescription medications, providing support to pharmacy staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Check and verify prescriptions and dispensed medications for accuracy.
Provide support and advice to patients on the use of their medications.
Ensure the safe and correct storage of pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products.
Assist with stock management, ordering, and maintaining inventory levels.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Follow all regulatory and quality control procedures, including the legal requirements for the handling and dispensing of medications.
Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare staff.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of pharmaceutical best practices and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Accredited Checking Technician qualification (ACT).
Valid registration with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Proven experience in a pharmacy environment, preferably within a dispensing or clinical setting.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
Knowledge of current pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
