An independent pharmacy in Southampton providing high quality patient-centred care to the local community.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Accuracy Checking Technician/Dispenser to join our friendly and professional team.

The ideal candidate would be a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.. Basic IT skills are essential. Training opportunities also available whilst in the post .

An accuracy checking qualification is essential. We will consider applications from either Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technicians or Accuracy Checking Dispensers.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

Checking and Dispensing prescriptions Customer service - advising patients on the safe and effective use of their medicines, advising on minor illness symptoms and recommending products for purchase Assisting with pharmacy services e.g. taking blood pressure readings for patients Assisting with MDS service Stock management Answering queries via telephone and email Administrative duties e.g. claiming for services
Hours of work would ideally be Monday to Friday 11am - 5pm. This however could have a degree of flexibility - to be discussed with the pharmacy manager.
