The role
We are looking for three Achievement Support Assistants to join our Achievement Support Department at Brinsworth Academy.
Working with our Inclusion team, you will help students to overcome barriers to learning so that they can achieve their full academic potential. These barriers relate principally to any combination of learning difficulties, behaviour difficulties, social and emotional difficulties and/or disabilities.
As an Achievement Support Assistant, you will support intervention programmes, monitor and support identified students and assist the Inclusion team and teachers with the successful delivery of curriculum programmes. You will work with students of all year groups and may also be required to act as a 'Lead Worker' for a specific number of students.
About you
The successful applicants should have experience of working with young people, along with a good standard of education and a commitment to personal development. You will be an empathetic individual and a great communicator, who can adopt a resilient approach to working with students with barriers to learning or challenging behaviour.
