Overview


We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Acoustic Consultant to join our small, friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of acoustics and noise control, with the ability to provide expert advice on sound management in various environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects meet both regulatory standards and client expectations for acoustic performance.

Duties



Conduct detailed acoustic assessments and measurements in various settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial environments. Cadna/A environmental noise mapping, CATT 9.0 room acoustics modelling, production of drawings and reports. Develop and implement noise control strategies tailored to specific project requirements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to integrate acoustic solutions into design plans effectively. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to acoustics and sound management. Provide training and guidance to clients on best practices for sound control and acoustics. Participate in project meetings to communicate acoustic strategies clearly.

Qualifications



A degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Maths or Physics or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in acoustic consultancy or a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with acoustic measurement tools and software is highly desirable. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards pertaining to noise control is beneficial.
