Location: Near Fareham

Salary: PO1, \xc2\xa336,480 - \xc2\xa339,183per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday with flexible working hours)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Tuesday 26th September 2023 at 23.59 hours

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Strategic Support Manager, within a national policing unit working to ensure safer communities in the UK and around the world.

About the role

The successful applicant will support the Senior Manager within the Information Management Portfolio in developing and improving the quality of service provision, maintaining standards of professional practice. They will provide specialist advice in relation to Policing Systems such as the UK Police National Computer (PNC), in support of force objectives and strategies.

The Strategic Support Manager will represent ACRO regarding Police System matters, will maintain effective relationships with several partner agencies and liaise with His Majesty\'s Inspectorate Committee (HMIC), Home Office and other UK police forces.

The successful applicant must work a minimum of 37 hours, across 5 days. Working hours can be discussed at interview.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

Desirable Qualifications

PNC Qualifications/ course passes

Essential Experience

Experience of verbal and written communication with staff at management level both within the organisation and externally.

In depth practical knowledge of PNC and a good understanding of how law enforcement agencies use PNC data.

Familiarity with operational support and business change.

Ability to perform at a strategic level with demonstrable experience in operating under pressure, meeting deadlines and balancing priorities.

Experience in interpreting and implementing changes in legislation.

Proficient in the use of IT
