Acrobatics Teacher

Lambeth and Balham Gymnastics Academy provides high-quality gymnastics training for children and young people in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. We are passionate about building strength, flexibility, and confidence in every child, while inspiring a love of movement.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Acrobatics Teacher to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging acrobatics classes for a range of ages and abilities, helping students to safely develop skills such as balances, flexibility, tumbling, partner work, and performance techniques. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about teaching acrobatics.
Plan and deliver progressive acrobatics lessons tailored to different age groups and ability levels.
Teach safe technique and skill progressions, including flexibility, balances, tumbling, and partner acrobatics.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants through safe practice and risk management.
Provide positive feedback and encouragement to support confidence and skill development.
Work collaboratively with other coaches and staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality programme.
Support performances, showcases, and events where acrobatics may be featured.
Person Specification
Acrobatic Arts certification, UKCC qualification, or equivalent experience in acrobatics coaching/teaching.
Strong technical knowledge of acrobatic skills, flexibility training, and safe progressions.
Experience teaching children and young people in a sports, dance, or gymnastics setting.
Excellent communication, motivational, and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
Experience in both recreational and performance-based acrobatics.
First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
Choreography or performance experience.
Ability to contribute to showcases, competitions, or cross-discipline training.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 15.00-30.00 per hour
